THE AQUASTORE
Purification technology storage and handling
AQUALIFE’S Live Shellfish Holding Systems, AQUASTORE, are for use onboard fishing vessels, in warehouses and storages for holding live crustaceans and bivalves. The systems are constructed modular and consist basically of a purification system and a holding system (holding tubs). The individual 1000 liters holding tubs can be combined to suit any customer requirements with respect to volume and location/footprint. All tubs can be moved by forklifts and are stackable during operation.
The AQUASTORE’s purification system can be remotely fitted and located outside the warehouse or storage or it can be located inside the building in direct connection to the holding system, whatever is preferable. The purification system provides for the production of sea water replacement and filtration systems are mounted for depuration of bivalves. The systems are controlled by a PLC to maintain storage conditions within specified parameters. The system may be remotely controlled and operated via the internet.
AQUALIFE holding tanks used in AQUALIFE transport containers may also be connected to the AQUASTORE purification system.
AQUASTORE’S features:
- Holds up to 6,000 liters of water and 1,500 kg of live shellfish (depending of species)
- Purification capacity 5,000 liters per hour
- Compartmentalized – no risk of cross contamination between the tubs
- Independent from water source, can intake sea water or fresh water to be mixed with salt
- Removes all bacteria and organic material
